INTERSTATE 81 SOUTHBOUND CLOSED IN FREDERICK COUNTY
STAUNTON – (3:00 a.m.) A crash involving a tractor trailer has closed southbound Interstate 81 at mile marker 322 in Frederick County. The accident took place around 11:30 Monday night, but there is no estimate for reopening the southbound lanes.
A detour has been set up for southbound I-81 traffic. Drivers will be directed off the interstate at exit 323 near the West Virginia state line. They will follow Route 669 east, Route 11 south and then Route 672 west to rejoin the interstate at exit 321.
