BRIDGE WORK ON ROUTE 644 IN ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY AUGUST 22 – SEPTEMBER 8
STAUNTON – Part of Route 644 (Wide Gap Road) in Rockbridge County will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday beginning August 22, 2016. These daytime closures will allow Virginia Department of Transportation crews to perform maintenance on the truss bridge over Colliers Creek. The location is just west of Route 251 (Collierstown Road) and 0.6 miles east of Route 659 (Dry Hollow Road).
Route 644 will be open during non-work hours. Bridge maintenance is scheduled for completion on Thursday, September 8. All work is weather permitting.
