STAUNTON – Motorists can expect single lane closures and traffic-lane shifts Monday, July 11, through Friday, July 22, on Route 11 (Old Valley Pike) in Shenandoah County just south of Mount Jackson. The restrictions will allow crews to perform soil testing for future roadway and bridge improvements in the area of the North Fork Shenandoah River bridge.

Just south of the bridge, flagging crews will direct Route 11 northbound and southbound traffic. Just north of the bridge, northbound Route 11 traffic will shift to the center lane. When work on the northbound lane is complete, there will also be a brief closure of the center turn lane.

These traffic restrictions will be in place weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and are scheduled to end by 5 p.m. on July 22. All work is weather permitting.
