PIPE REPLACEMENT CLOSES PART OF ROUTE 687 FROM MAY 17-20 IN ROCKINGHAM COUNTY
STAUNTON – A portion of Route 687 (Massanetta Springs Road) will be closed for a pipe replacement project Tuesday, May 17, through Friday, May 20. The closure is about a half-mile south of Route 689 (Shen Lake Drive) in Rockingham County near Lake Shenandoah. Local traffic will be able to access properties on both sides of the work zone.
Through traffic will be directed on one of the following detours:
- From the south side of the project – Turn right from Route 687 onto Route 1031 (Traveler Road); continue 0.45 mile to Route 1030 (Lucy Long Drive); turn right at stop sign and continue 0.13 mile to the end of detour at Route 689.
- From the north side of project – Turn left from Route 687 onto Route 689; continue 0.48 mile and turn left onto Route 1030 (Lucy Long Drive); continue 0.13 miles and turn left onto Route 1031 (Traveler Road). Continue approximately 0.45 mile to end of detour at Route 687.
All work is weather permitting.
