I-81 RIGHT SOUTHBOUND LANE CLOSED NEAR WINCHESTER IN FREDERICK COUNTY

STAUNTON – (8:25 p.m.) The right southbound lane remains closed on Interstate 81 near northern Winchester in Frederick County. This is due to a tractor trailer crash that took place around 4:15 this afternoon near mile marker 319 just north of Winchester.

Extensive traffic backups remain on I-81, and related congestion is expected on Route 11 in northern Frederick County. Motorists should use extreme caution, follow signs and variable message boards, and expect delays on this portion of the interstate.
