ROUTE 616 IN ALLEGHANY COUNTY CLOSED AUGUST 30
STAUNTON – A portion of Route 616 (Rich Patch Road) in Alleghany County is scheduled to be closed to through traffic on Wednesday, August 30. The closure will be in place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Route 617 (Jamison Mountain Road) and Route 618 (Upper Rich Patch Drive). Through traffic can use Routes 617 and 618 as a detour.
This closure allows Virginia Department of Transportation crews to replace a drainage pipe under Route 616. All work is weather permitting.
