May is Bike to School month (and National Bike Month), with several important events occurring:
May 8: Bike to School Day
May 15: Prioritizing walking and bicycling in the City of Alexandria Webinar, including a SRTS case study
May 17: Bike to Work Day
Close to 100 Virginia schools will celebrate this year’s Bike to School Day on Wednesday, May 8. Planned activities include ribbon-cutting events for new bike racks, bike rodeos and safety assemblies, and walking school buses and bike trains. Elected officials from communities across the state will participate in the events, making this popular springtime event.
