Project Updates

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has an urgent need to construct the U.S. Route 460 Connector “Phase I” in Buchanan County.

The proposed project includes construction of:
  • Twin high-level structures, 1600 linear feet in length

  • A mainline four-lane divided highway totaling 4800 linear feet

  • An access ramp to the Breaks Interstate Park, with a bridge crossing Route 768
VDOT has determined that project delivery via design-build contracting will allow for timely allocation of available funding and expedite completion.
