What's Being Done
Preliminary engineering is currently underway for Phase I of the Route 460 Connector, which will begin at the Kentucky State Line and extend east about one mile. Right of way acquisition will begin in Spring 2008.Preliminary engineering is also underway for Phase II of the Route 460 Connector, which will link the first segment of the Coalfields Expressway at Bull Gap to Phase I of the Route 460 Connector. Right of Way acquisition is currently unscheduled for Phase II. No construction funds have been identified for Phase II.
Benefits
When completed, the Route 460 Connector will link the first segment of the Coalfields Expressway at Bull Gap to Route 460 in Kentucky.Additionally, the completion of Phase I of the connector will improve access to Breaks Interstate Park.
