Features

- Widening of Alternate Route 58 from two to four lanes from the east corporate limits of Pennington Gap to the west end of Dryden was completed summer 2007.

- Widening of Alternate Route 58 between Winding Stairs and the west corporate limits of Big Stone Gap was completed in July 2006.

- The $8 million widening of Route 58 in Lee County from just east of the intersection of Routes 95 and 54 at the Lee County Vocational Technical school to west of the intersection of Route 643 at Cane Creek was completed in summer 2002.

- The $18 million widening of Route 58 in Lee County from near the intersection of Route 621 in the Hagan Community to the intersection of Route 899 was completed in summer 2002.
