Project Status

This project was advertised for construction bids on March 12, 2019. Bids will be opened on April 24, 2019. 

Construction is anticipated to begin no later than 2020.

Project Details

The project will increase the capacity of the existing park and ride lot from 212 parking spaces to about 360 parking spaces. Additionally, the project will improve lighting, provide 15 bike racks and add sidewalk along the edge of the parking lot near Route 605 (Colonial Road/Dumfries Road).

Construction is anticipated to begin in 2020 and take less than one year. The park and ride lot will remain open during construction but periodic parking disruptions are expected.
