Under Construction: Route 665 (Dodge City Road) Bridge Replacement

This  project, funded by VDOT's state maintenance budget, will replace the existing structurally deficient, timber deck bridge with a new 45-foot concrete structure on concrete abutments and piles. 

During construction the portion of Dodge City Road at Beverly Run will be closed to through traffic. Drivers will be detoured approximately 5 miles using the following routes:

Route 665 (Dodge City Road)

Route 625 (Passing Road)

Route 618 (Beverly Run Road)

The road will be closed to through traffic at the work site 24 hours a day. Construction activity will be underway from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

 

Benefits 

Drivers will have a new 45-foot pre-stressed concrete structure on concrete abutments and piles. The existing bridge, built in 1958, is 27 feet in length.
