What's Being Done
This project is a continuation of the London Bridge Road corridor widening in Virginia Beach. The project widened 2.5 miles of London Bridge Road between International Parkway and Virginia Beach Boulevard (Route 58).
Features
The road was one lane in each direction. The project widened the roadway to two lanes in each direction separated by a 16-foot raised grass median. The project also provides safety and efficiency improvements.
Benefits
This corridor experiences heavy congestion due to strains on capacity. Widening the roadway decreases congestion, improves safety and connects Virginia Beach Boulevard to Damn Neck Road and General Booth Boulevard on a four-lane corridor.Contacts
