Features
This project extended Volvo Parkway to four lanes from Kempsville Road in Chesapeake and Centerville Turnpike in Virginia Beach. The project serves some of the new properties in that area.A second phase contract will follow which will connect to the first section and complete the widening of Lynnhaven Parkway to Indian River Road.
Benefits
Widening and extending Volvo Parkway improves congestion throughout the area, especially for some of the new developments in the area. Aesthetic improvements include brick sidewalks along some of the wider sections of the roadway.
