About the Project

  • Curbs and gutters
  • Bridges over the Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail
  • Shared-use paths on both sides of Belmont Ridge Road
  • Direct connections from the shared-use paths to the W&OD Trail

The project was financed with state, local and Northern Virginia Transportation Authority funds.

It ties into the Route 7 / Belmont Ridge Road interchange project (UPC 99481), which is being administered by the county.

This section of Belmont Ridge Road averages as many as 12,000 vehicles a day.
