This project will replace the weight-restricted one-lane Hunter Mill Road bridge over Colvin Run. The new bridge will have two lanes and four-foot-wide shoulders.
The existing bridge, built in 1974, averages 8,500 vehicles per day.
The project aims to reduce congestion and improve operations and safety.
