About the Project
This project will replace the weight-restricted one-lane Hunter Mill Road bridge over Colvin Run. The new bridge will have two lanes and four-foot-wide shoulders, reducing congestion and improving operations and safety.
The existing bridge, built in 1974, averages 7,200 vehicles per day; traffic is projected to increase to 11,000 vehicles per day by 2043.
