What's Being Done

This project is constructing a second turn lane from both eastbound and westbound Little River Turnpike (Route 236) to northbound and southbound Braddock Road. This work includes grading, drainage, pavement, striping and signal modification.

Project Updates

Project pre-construction conference is scheduled for July 21, 2009. The contractor is getting submittals approved and procuring materials. Work will commence with placing of all construction signs on August 4, 2009.

Traffic Impacts

All construction will be performed within existing right-of-way.  No detours or road closures will be required for construction of this project; however, temporary lane closures will be required during off-peak hours.  Residents and the traveling public should not experience significant impacts from construction. 

Environmental Considerations

All the environmental perimeters will be installed per plans before any land disturbing activity takes place.
