What's Being Done
The Virginia Department of Transportation will make safety improvements along Popes Head Road between Lewisham Road and O'Faly Road. VDOT crews will improve site distance and overall safety by straightening curves, flattening hills and constructing uniform 12 foot travel lanes with eight foot shoulders.This is a Hazard Elimination and Safety (HES) project which will receive federal funding.
