Note: A Design Public Hearing will be held Wednesday night, March 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at John W. Tolbert Jr. Elementary School, 691 Potomac Station Dr NE, Leesburg, VA 20176.

If the meeting is cancelled due to inclement weather, the alternate date will be Thursday, March 15.

About the Project

This project will replace the traffic signal at Route 7 (East Market Street) and Battlefield Parkway with a grade-separated interchange, and remove or modify the signalized intersection at Route 7 and Cardinal Park Drive to reduce congestion and improve traffic operations. Other improvements include accommodations for cyclists and pedestrians, and new interchange lighting.

Preliminary engineering has been funded by the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority.

Presentation to Leesburg Town Council (June 2017)
In June 2017, the Council endorsed Alternative 4 (Single Point Urban Interchange) for Battlefield Parkway and Option C-3 for Cardinal Park Drive (Right in/Right Out - Auxiliary Lane).
