In Design: Williamson Boulevard and Stonehouse Drive Traffic Signal in Prince William County

This project will install a new traffic signal at the intersection of Williamson Boulevard and Stonehouse Drive. Pedestrian accommodations are also part of the project.

From 2011 to 2013, there were 23 crashes at the intersection including a fatality.

Estimated Costs
Preliminary Engineering - $223,000
Right of Way Acquisition and Utility Relocation - $113,000
Construction - $724,000
Total - $1.1 million

This project is being financed with federal and state funding, including Highway Safety Improvement Program funds.

Williamson Boulevard averages up to 15,000 vehicles a day at the intersection, while Stonehouse Drive averages 3,400.

This project aims to improve safety for drivers and pedestrians.
