In Design: Williamson Boulevard and Stonehouse Drive Traffic Signal in Prince William County

This project will install a new traffic signal at the intersection of Williamson Boulevard and Stonehouse Drive. The signal will include a flashing yellow arrow for drivers turning left from Williamson Boulevard to Stonehouse Drive.  Pedestrian accommodations are also part of the project.

At the intersection, Williamson Boulevard averages up to 15,000 vehicles a day and Stonehouse Drive averages 3,400.

Estimated Costs
Preliminary Engineering - $250,000
Right of Way Acquisition and Utility Relocation - $113,000
Construction - $697,000
Total - $1.1 million

This project is being financed with federal and state funding, including Highway Safety Improvement Program funds.

Benefits 

This project aims to improve driver and pedestrian safety as well as operations at the intersection.
