What's being done?
VDOT installed safety features to north and southbound Rt. 1 between England Street and Pleasant Street (approximately 1,500 feet or 0.4 miles) to include a new median, turn lanes, sidewalks and traffic signals. The project also included improvements to the road surface, utilities and drainage.
