Route 708 (Namozine Road) Bridge ReplacementReplacing 77-year-old bridge over Namozine Creek
Est Completion Date
Amelia and Dinwiddie
The primary purpose of this project is to replace the aging Route 708 (Namozine Road) bridge over Namozine Creek with a new structure on the existing alignment.
This bridge, originally constructed in 1940, spans through both Dinwiddie and Amelia Counties and is substandard to handle future traffic volumes. The existing bridge measures 170 feet in length and has a clear deck width of 24 feet. The new bridge will be approximately 180 feet long and 26 feet wide.
During construction, Namozine Road will be closed and a temporary detour will be in place.
A citizen information meeting was held on April 29, 2015 at Mannboro Fire Station.
A fact sheet is now available.
