Project Description

The primary purpose of this project is to alleviate congestion and provide for safer pedestrian and bike accommodation along Rte. 419 in front of Tanglewood Mall. The addition of a third lane along Rte. 419 East will help alleviate the heavy traffic congestion by extending this third lane until it ties to the Rte. 220 South Exit ramp.  Sidewalks and bike lanes will be added along with appropriate crosswalks at the upgraded signals that will facilitate bike and pedestrian movement throughout this corridor.  Transit improvements include combining the bus stops along Rte. 419 East into one major stop with a public bus shelter in front of the Copper Croft Apartments.

Temporary lane closures, traffic shifts and road detours may be necessary during construction. Access to all properties and businesses will be maintained during construction.
