Features

This project will replace the existing 158-foot, one-lane steel truss and timber deck bridge over Walker Creek in Giles County. The bridge intersects with Route 670 to provide access to private property.

The proposed new bridge will be a two-lane structure that will improve safe access for the public, farm equipment, emergency vehicles and maintenance services.

The contract was awarded to Fort Chiswell Construction on Jan. 18, 2007.
